Israel-China & Hong Kong Chamber

The Israel-China & Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce works to foster commercial relationships between China & Hong Kong and Israel by connecting Israeli executives with key business people in China. The Chamber, established over 20 years ago, is well positioned to help members of the Israel-Asia Chamber develop their networks and achieve their goals in the Chinese market.

The Management Board of the Israel-China & Hong Kong Chamber specializes in key industries including technology, water, agriculture and more, and provides a variety of ways to engage with Chinese delegations via networking events. Furthermore the Chamber serves as a resource of crucial information and can make direct introductions to important contacts in China.

The Chamber is managed by Mr. Amos Yudan, Mr. Ilan Maor and Adv. Yoav Sade.

Amos Yudan, Chairman

Amos Yudan, an Israeli businessman, is the President & C.E.O of Comodan Far East, Chairman of Israel-China-Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Friends Association of “Hiyot”, a non-profit organization for Ethiopian youth at risk.

Amos is a pioneer who paved the road for the commercial relationship between Israel and China, on behalf of the Israel Government. Amos was elected, on 1988, by the Israeli Prime Minister, to establish COPECO Company, with the purpose of building trade relation between Israel and China.

Comodan represented more than 20 Israeli Companies and established more than 40 projects in China in infrastructure, security, agriculture and hi-tech.

Today, Comodan has been acting as the exclusive representative of Nuctech Co. Ltd., a subsidiary company of Tongfang Group and Tsinghhua University. Nuctech Co. supplies high-energy scanning systems, which has been operating in the various Crossing Boarders throughout Israel.

Comodan has been representing CREC/CRTG , both Chinese leading companies and together participated in several Israel Governmental tenders for tunnels & roads, bridges and railways.

Ilan Maor, President

As of January 2008, Ilan has been acting as the Managing Partner of Sheng Holdings HK Ltd., a leading investment banking, advisory, and technology cooperation firm, with presence and operations in China, Israel and Canada.

Ilan Maor have also been serving as the Vice Chairman of the Israel – China & Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce, since being elected to this post in June 2009.

In May 2018 Ilan Maor was among the first Israelis to be appointed as an Arbitrator of the Shanghai International Arbitration Center, operating under the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission.

Before joining SHENG in 2008, Ilan headed the Economic Department of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responsible for the economic relations with Asia-Pacific, Russia and the CIS countries, as well as for Israel’s representation in the economic international organizations.

During the years 2007-2008 Ilan served as the head of the Israeli negotiating team with the OECD, taking leading role in planning and executing the Israeli campaign towards joining the organization.

Between 2001-2005, Ilan served as the Consul General of Israel in Shanghai, and led the positioning of the consulate as a major center and support center of economic and business cooperation between Israel and China.

Ilan Maor was the first (and only) Israeli diplomat to be listed among the “100 Most Influential People in the Israel Economy” list, published by Israel’s leading business magazine, “The Marker”.

Ilan has also served as the first Israeli diplomat and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taipei (Taiwan) as well as the Deputy Chief of Mission, at the Embassy of Israel in Kathmandu (Nepal).

Yoav Sade, Vice Chairman

Yoav Sade, is a partner in the Corporate and Securities Group of Meitar Liquornik Geva Leshem Tal, Law Offices, and head of the firm’s Asia practice.

Yoav has 30 years of experience working on China-Israel cross border transactions, during which he lived in Hong Kong and worked in one of the leading law firms in Hong Kong for several years.

Yoav represents investors from Asia and Israeli companies in investments, M&A transactions, joint ventures and commercial transactions, and in establishing a presence in Asia and Israel.
